SCRATCH.THE STEM BICYCLE CLUB WAS GIVEN $225-THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DONATIONS FROM LOCAL BUSINESSES AND FOUNDATIONS FOR THIS PROJECT- STUDENTS FROM A DOZEN SCHOOLS IN THE AREA ARE TAKING PART- NOT ONLY ARE THE KIDS LEARNING ABOUT HOW THE BIKES WORK, THEY ALSO GET TO KEEP THEIR PROJECTS AT THE END OF THE 10-WEEK BUILDING CLASS. “i’m feeling really good because it’s a chance for us to learn about the parts in a bike, the components, what goes into a bike. and what are the things that we need to learn about how to fix one. how to rebuild it if anything happens. and it’s a chance for us to have our own bikes that we built.” built.”THE STEM BICYCLE CLUB STARTED THREE YEARS AGO AT WOODWARD AND HAS GROWN TO INCLUDE OTHER SCHOOLS IN THE TRI-STATE.
